A few years ago (well, more than a few years ago), I happened to acquire a certain gift certificate to a local yarn shop. It was more of a knitter’s/crocheter’s paradise, if you ask me. I promptly bought two skeins grey fingering weight yarn and on the spot decided I was going to conquer the art of knitting socks. I know, I know… I guess I’m just old fashioned that way but nevertheless, when I put my mind to something, I usually end up doing it no matter how long it takes me or how long I procrastinate about doing it. Which brings me to today. I finally finished one sock of the pair I had begun so many years ago. And yes, I said ONE sock. What can I say? Life happened. I graduated high school; I went to college; I got a job. Knitting socks was the last thing on my mind. So why am I dredging out my moth eaten “projects past” from my crafting closet you ask? Simple. I’m finally motivated to finish them. FINALLY!!!!!! My mantra is NO NEW PROJECTS and I intend to see this accomplished in its entirety…at least until summer :)
Coming soon: Pics of my illustrious knitted socks….once I get them done, anyway.
